Partners Glen McLean and Randy Pedersen fell head over heels for coffee from the very first sip. What started as a simple appreciation quickly blossomed into a full-blown passion – and, though they didn’t realize it at the time, a journey that would become nothing short of extraordinary. The two discovered early on that great coffee isn’t mass-produced on some cold, soulless assembly line. It’s crafted with love, roasted in small batches, and carefully nurtured by those who truly get it.

So, in 1996, fueled by their newfound obsession, Glen and Randy embarked on their coffee adventure. They set up shop in a tiny 196-square-foot kiosk at McAllister Place Shopping Center in Saint John, N.B., Canada. And just like that, JavaMoose was born!

From day one, they knew coffee had to be done right. They hunted down the finest Arabica beans from around the globe, investing in top-of-the-line roasting equipment (shout-out to Diedrich Roasters, who’ve been doing their thing for over 100 years). They poured their hearts, time, and a whole lot of soul into perfecting the craft – and boy, did they ever.

Fast forward to today, and JavaMoose is a coffee powerhouse (lol). Our roasting facility, the best-smelling place on Earth, spans a spacious 10,000 square feet. We’ve got three cozy cafes along the stunning Bay of Fundy in Southern New Brunswick – two in the vibrant, #SaintAwesome city of Saint John and a third tucked away in the peaceful suburb of Rothesay. Plus, our coffee is popping up in offices, schools, and restaurants everywhere. Heck, you’re probably sipping on one of our brews right now.

The JavaMoose team has grown to 35 passionate, coffee-obsessed people, all working together to deliver an unforgettable coffee experience. Our cafés are the perfect blend of chill and contemporary – ideal for curling up with a good book, holding a last-minute business meeting, or catching up with friends over a cup of coffee before you head out on your next adventure.

What makes our coffee unforgettable? It starts with the beans. We hand-select our exotics from all corners of the globe, roasting them to perfection so every single bean's unique flavor shines through. Our blends? They’re the result of endless experimentation and collaboration between Glen and Randy, who spend their days cupping, tasting, and dreaming up new, exciting combinations. And our flavoured coffees? They’re legendary, crafted not from a recipe book but from listening to our guests and getting creative long into the night (thank goodness for the endless supply of caffeine to keep them going).
